Heirloom gold, cast by hand.
Adaeze Okwu learned lost-wax casting from her uncle, a goldsmith in Benin City. Today she works from a jewelers' bench in Chicago, making pieces meant to be inherited — engagement bands, signet rings, and chains drawn one link at a time. Every Adaeze piece carries the weight of where it comes from.
